Growing awareness about the hazards of pollution is triggering off in India demand for new technologies to curb emissions.
Lime is used to remove acidic gases, particularly sulfur dioxide (SO2) and hydrogen chloride (HCl), from flue gases. Lime is more reactive than limestone, and requires less capital equipment.
The 1st hydrator commissioned by Cimprogetti in India to Raw Edge Industrial Solution Ltd. of Surat is a step towards this trend. The plant is purposely designed to process various hydrated lime grades resulting in excellent removal efficiency.
